Southern Thighways
A cookbook by Sara Gibbs
Southern Thighways: Thigh Recipes With a Southern Accent features unique recipes for that favorite part of the chicken, the thigh. Often overlooked in this age of the skinless, boneless (and bland) chicken breast, the thigh is actually the tastiest part of the bird and using the recipes in Southern Thighways gives cooks and chefs alike a variety of ways to make those thighs even tastier by providing some all new recipes as well as innovative twists on some old (Southern) standards. Two of Sara’s original recipes that appear in the book also appeared in the August 2005 issue of Southern Living Magazine: “Smokin’ Thighs Cornbread Salad” and the “Smokin’ Thighs” recipe itself.
The book is beautifully bound in a hardcover edition with full-color front and back covers and includes eight pages of full-color food shots by the Louisville, Kentucky photographer, Jessie Kriech and delightful line drawings by the Huntington, West Virginia artist, Darlene Webb.
